Principles of Hadith

This course provides a foundational understanding of the science of Usul al-Hadith (Principles of Hadith). It introduces students to its origins, key terminology, and its connection to other Islamic sciences. The course also covers the historical stages of Hadith compilation, the classification of Hadith in terms of acceptance and rejection, the science of narrators (Ilm al-Rijal) and their qualities, as well as the methods of transmission and narration.
